6. Cleaning & Repair. A basic cleaning fee of $150 USD will be added to all Venue rentals. If the Venue, grounds or any equipment is damaged, additional charges may be necessary. Property must be returned in the same condition it was rented prior to use.
Permits. All required permits must be acquired by Renter and presented to Venue prior to event. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of event and Venue will retain all deposits and balances due.
Payments. Cash, Debit/Credit, Wire Transfer, Zelle, Venmo, Crypto, PayPal, Checks, etc. must be approved by Venue.
Security & Parking.
a. Security - Renter is responsible for providing One (1) security guard for events under 100 attendees. The one security guard MUST carry a GUARD CARD. If Renter is unable to provide one security guard with a Guard Card, Venue will provide one for the Renter ($250 average). A minimum of two (2) security guards is required for 100+ attendees. A minimum of three (3) security guards is required for 201+ attendees. Additional security, beyond the one security guard with a Guard Card, will not be required to carry Guard Cards. If the minimum security guard count is not provided by Renter, Venue has the right to cancel the event and retain all deposits and balances due.
b. Site Manager - Depending on the scope of the event/shoot, Venue
may provide a Site Manager for Renter at an additional cost ($100-
$200 average/day).
c. Parking Attendant - Depending on the scope of the event/shoot, Venue
may provide a Parking Attendant for Renter at an additional cost ($100-
$200 average/day).
d. Private Parking - There is no private parking.
e. Street Parking - The Majic Factory is located on Echo Park Ave where you can find plenty of free street parking in front of the venue or nearby neighborhoods.
Privacy & Good Neighbors.
a. Event may be run as a Public or Private event.
b. Renter and Patrons must respect the Venue, Echo Park Lake, and all adjacent/neighboring buildings. If Renter and Patrons fail to comply, Venue has the right to shut down the event while still retaining the balance owed.
Liability & Insurance. Renter must purchase event insurance either through the Venue directly, or can option to use their own licensed insurance agent. Renter agrees that Venue claims no liability for any incidents or injuries to guests or staff during rental (including set-up through break-down), and therefore cannot be held accountable under any circumstances.
Lost Or Stolen Items. Venue is not responsible for any equipment or belongings, lost or stolen, within the time of rental (including set-up through break-down).
Event Break-down. After the event all private property belonging to the Renter, or companies/contractors which the Renter has privately hired, must be removed from the Venue promptly and will not be held for pick-up at a later date, unless otherwise agreed upon by Venue.
Alcohol, Cigarettes & Cannabis. Alcoholic beverages may not be distributed or sold by Renter on or near the Venue either directly or indirectly. If for any reason alcohol is discovered in the possession of or being consumed by patrons under the age of twenty-one (21) Venue has the right to shut down the event while still retaining the balance owed. Venue claims no responsibility for incidents, injury or damage as a result of alcohol consumption during or after the event. This is a non-smoking venue, however, smoking and consuming cannabis is allowed under most conditions. Cannabis use must be discussed and agreed upon by both parties prior to the event. California Law and age restrictions apply.
15. Confetti, Fog & Tape. DO NOT use confetti. If confetti (or anything similar) is used during the Event there will be an additional $500 clean fee attached to the final balance. Venue asks that you only use WATER-BASED FOG. If Renter or Patrons use anything other than water-based fog juice, Venue has the right to shut down the event while still retaining the balance owed. If Renter requires adhering anything to the walls of the Venue, only Painter’s Tape or Gaffer’s Tape is allowed. If Renter or Patrons use anything other than Painter’s Tape or Gaffer’s Tape, Renter will be charged an additional $250 in repair fees.
16. Staff, Vendors & Walk-throughs.
All Staff and employees of Venue will be allowed to attend the event without compensation to Renter.
Vendors not in compliance with any of the Venue’s Terms & Conditions may be asked to shut down and leave the premises.
Vendors in direct competition with any services already provided by venue may be asked to shut down and leave the premises.
Venue will be allowed to tour potential renters during events/shoots.
Venue will be allowed to photograph and take videos of the event for any and all promotional purposes.
17. Unforeseen Events or Acts of God. If for any reason the event is cancelled, shut down or required to move locations due to an emergency, illness, weather, noise complaint, police, fire department, etc. Renter is still responsible for honoring the Agreement and paying the balance due in full. There are no exceptions.
18. Modification. No alteration or other modification of this Agreement shall be made effective unless such a modification is made in writing and signed by both parties.
In Witness Whereof.
By executing this Agreement, the undersigned persons confirm they have had the opportunity to review this Agreement in its entirety and that they have the authority to enter into this Agreement for their respective Parties.
